How to cure thyroid naturally at home

In this blog, I will share how I cured my Thyroid naturally through Yoga and specific lifestyle changes.

I’m not a doctor, and I don’t claim to be one. I want to share the tips that helped me, and I hope they will help you too. If you have any health issues or severe conditions, see a doctor.

“Ten years ago, I know that once the Thyroid is detected, you have to take pills life long, but I never thought of even In my dreams that I too can suffer from Thyroid. I consulted Doctor, and the Doctor advised me to start medication as my TSH level was 13 because I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism.

I don’t want to throw up the sponge, but I want to fight the disease by making specific lifestyle changes.

Hypothyroidism is related to stress and can easily manage by practicing Yoga. Yoga can transform your life. I got this disease because I was taking lots of stress and neglecting my health, and my lifestyle had become sedentary.

Without wasting a single day, I started working on how quickly I can control my thyroid. 

What is Thyroid Disease
The Thyroid is a small gland in the throat that secretes hormones. These hormones affect a person’s metabolism, body temperature, and growth. When a person is suffering from Thyroid, their physical and mental health also gets affected.

Two common conditions which affect the Thyroid are:

Hyperthyroidism
The Thyroid produces an excessive quantity of thyroid hormones.
Symptoms

  • unexpected weight loss
  • rapid or irregular heart-beat
  • Sweating and irritability

Hypothyroidism
A condition in which the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough thyroid hormone.
Thyroid Symptoms

  • Fatigue
  • Cold sensitivity
  • Constipation
  • Dry skin
  • Unexplained weight gain

Yoga Poses to cure thyroid naturally

The following Yoga poses focus on stimulating the throat, improving circulation and stretching, and strengthening the neck where the thyroid is located. This Yoga poses should be performed under a trained Yoga teacher’s guidance.

Supported Shoulder Stand
It helps in improving blood circulation and squeezing stagnant secretion. It releases blood into the neck and helps nourish the Thyroid and reversing hypothyroidism.

How to Control thyroid naturally

Plow pose
The plow pose stimulates the Thyroid.

Fish pose
This pose stretches the neck and the throat and stimulates the thyroid.

Bridge pose
It is very effective for hyperthyroidism. It stretches the neck and improves the blood circulation in the thyroid gland.

The Cobra Pose
This pose stretches the neck and throat region, which increases thyroid functioning.

Camel Pose
It stimulates the thyroid gland by stretching the neck and increasing blood circulation in the gland. Very effective in hypothyroidism.

Cat-cow pose
It is very effective in treating hormonal disbalance or a thyroid disorder. It is effective in treating hyperthyroidism.

Upward Bow Pose
It also stimulates the Thyroid.

Sun-Salutation
It is effective both for hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Fast-paced sun-salutation is suitable for hypothyroidism and slow-paced sun-salutation for hyperthyroidism. By practising sun-salutation 108 times daily for at least one week you can control the thyroid.

Ujjayi Pranayama (The Ocean Breath)
It is an effective way to stimulate the throat’s reflex pathways, which regulate hormone production in the thyroid gland. This pose is suitable for both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

In addition to meditation and breathing exercises, Yoga can alleviate everyday stress. A stressful lifestyle can contribute to thyroid disorders, and Yoga can help manage them.

Diet for Thyroid Patient

  • Include high-fiber food in your diet.
  • Reduce the intake of fats and proteins.
  • Take lots of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Better to avoid cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli in hypothyroidism.
  • Limit the intake of non-vegetarian food, milk and milk products(skimmed milk is advisable), rice, spicy food, refined and fast food, and food items with preservatives.

By following the tips mentioned above, I have defeated my Thyroid in one month. My TSH came 0.6. I cured my Thyroid naturally. Firstly, you shouldn’t ignore the changes you notice in your body. You should immediately consult the Doctor so that you can reverse your Thyroid.
